Error code 103-1604?

So the past couple of days my wii u has been unable to connect to the Internet at all. I tried looking up the error code and I can't find any information on this specific code. The wifi seems to be working fine on other devices, just not my wii u.

 

I manually entered my IP information and I was able to use the Internet on my system, however the next day it was not working again, and manually entering the IP did nothing. I'm concerned if this has to do with the recent update or something else, and if there is any way I can fix this? Thank you!

WiiU Fit Boxing disables 2nd WiiMote?

As of yesterday, I went to play WiiU Fit "Free Boxing" for the first time in a few weeks, and ran into this issue.

 

I select the Free Boxing Game

I'm prompted to connect a second controller

I click the second controller, it lights up and the game recognizes it

The game asks me to select (A) with the primary controller to play

The the second controller is immediately shut off, and the game begins (but now no "hits" from that controller are recognized, because it's off).

 

There's no "pause" in action between these, btw -- meaning, I didn't walk away and the connection "time out" to the second controller; I'm doing these steps immediately as described above; the second remote is being automatically shut off as soon as the game starts.

 

I have tried powering off everything and restarting (including ejecting Wii Fit, and rebooting the entire Wii system)

 

1. Has anyone else experienced this?

 

2. Any suggestions what else I could try in order to get this to work again??

Wii U won't run Wii games

My brother's Wii U will not load Wii games. Depending on the game, it will either show the seizure warning screen, and then dump back to the wii menu when I push A, or if the game doesn't have the seizure warning, it will say error reading disc and I have to shut it off. The disc info loads fine in the menu, so it shows the game title and plays the music for each disc, but none will actually run. Wii U games all run perfectly fine. We checked for a system update and it says it is up to date. I am able to play two games that were downloaded from the eshop just fine.

Lately i have been receiving the same error code 160-0103. So i called Nintendo and they told me to move all my data, so i have been. Ive got one thing left to move, low and behold, its super smash bros. I bought a brand new usb since my others were filled with my wii u's other data. So i configured the USB, but the data wont move, ive tryed everything, and nothing works. Ive double checked the space on the USB and the space nessissary to move the data and that evens out. But i dont understand why it wont move! I need your help please, i dont know what to do and the last thing i really want to lose is my Super Smash Data along with my amiibo data.  Thank you!

The best way to backup Wii U and Wii Mode save data with a flash drive?

My Wii U has been freezing occaisionally, so I want to back up all my hundreds of hours of save data from both the Wii U and the Wii Mode menu, downloadable and physical.  I have a flashdrive, is it possible to back up both Wii U and Wii data on the same flsh drive? And if so is it safe to constantly update the data by re copying it?  I believe I have seen a "Copy/Move/Delete Data" button in system settings before, would copying it to the flashdrive regularly be the best thing to do?

Unable to move wii information over to the wii u

Two hours invested in this and I have never been more frustrated.

 

I have a wii and a wii u.

The problem is the Wii transfer software in the store or the e-store on the wii u. It is not present......at all.

 

I have attempted the following search string attempts - Wii transfer, wii u transfer, wii system, wii system transfer

 

The search did not return any results. All parental controls have been disabled.

 

At 1:43 of the video on the source wii the transfer tool is no where to be found. We have searched the wii shop on the source wii is not to be found.

 

I have attempted to update the source wii, it is currently on the most current update.

 

Please anyone who can provide a complete path on the wii to locate the wii transfer tool I would extrememly relieved.

Want to buy a Wii U LAN Adapter, can't find

Hello everyone,

 

I want to buy a Wii U LAN adapter (an official Nintendo branded one), but it appears to be missing from the store. I'm told that it has been discontinued.

 

Is there a chance that it may come back? Are there any Canadian retailers or online stores that will sell an official Wii LAN adapter and not those weird knock-off brands?

What is the cheapest router that allows the Wii U to connect to partners for online matches (Error code: 118-0516)?

I keep getting error code 118-0516, which says I cannot connect to the partner's server and that my Internet settings may need to be optimized. I have a Belkin N300, but no idea what the model number is. It may be F9K1002 - ver. 4024, which isn't listed in the tech support section. Either way, the security is WPA2-PSK (AES). Everything Internet related works perfectly fine except finding matches online. My very first attempt worked just fine, but then I got the error code. I managed to get into Smash Bros. once randomly too, but after four matches or so I got the error again.

 

I tried disabling the firewall, disabling security completely, following the steps for UnPnP and DMZ, but nothing works. Interestingly, however, I noticed my router no longer lists the Wii U's IP address. Before I messed with anything it ended in 6. When I turned off security entirely, it ended in 2. When I turned security back on, it is no longer listed, but my roommate's PC is listed with the identical IP address ending in 2. I don't know if this is causing a problem. But, like I said, I have played matches before with no problem, and it does actually seem like whenever he's home and on a computer it doesn't work.

 

To avoid all of the headache, I'd rather just get a new router that is less than $100 and has the right security for Wii U to connect to partner servers. Does anyone have suggestions of brands that work well? I've heard Netgear n7000 is great, but it is $200 and that is insane.

Multiple Issues: Gamepad not connecting, no video feed from Wii U to TV

Hello All,

 

It's been awhile since I've used my Wii U, thinking this might be a bricking issue after looking at the forums. I just bought Mario Kart 8, came home to play it and when I turned my Wii U on, I got an error on my Gamepad saying: "Could not connect to the Wii U console. Please move the Wii U Gamepad closer to the console. Then turn the controller's power off and on again."

 

I thought this was a syncing issue and when I tried to re-sync the controller, it asked me to input the symbols on the TV but the Wii U wasn't sending a video signal to the TV.

 

I've tried just about everything, including re-syncing the controller, unplugging all HDMI, sensor, and Power cords, and using a different HDMI slot and TV. Nothing is showing up on the TV and the controller is pretty much dead in the water.

 

The Wii U's blue light comes on and sounds like it boots up,but no video feed is being sent to the TV. Controller boots with the Nintendo logo, but immediately goes to the can't connect error message.

 

I did get a random memory error back in January when I first got the system Nintendo had never seen before after downloading Super Metroid on the eShop. Error Code: 160-0103, "There is a problem is the system memory", not sure if that's related.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

What USB is the Wii U compatible with? 2.0, 3.0 or both?

I'm curious... I found out that PS3's are only compatible with USB 2.0 external hard drives and pocket flash drives.

 

So, my question is this: Is the Wii U along similar lines?

Error code: 102-2815 eshop

I have had problems the last few days to enter the eshop, when I walk I get this error code: 102-2815 and says that services can not be used, but if I enter Miiverse and even play online, what happens?

 

the error code is not in the nintendo support site

I can connect in everything except eshop, miiverse and nintendo network.

 

There's an error code: 102-2107... but it seems that the Nintendo Network is not busy (as it says in this error)

Internet Browser works flawlessly, Wi-fi settings passed through the verification process.

Reset my router, reset my modem. None of these worked.

I don't know what more I have to do.

My Wii U console crashes and cannot log to the internet

I just got a Wii U console from Best Buy's bundle deal during Black Friday not long ago, and just yesterday I was able to have it log on to my home's wireless network just fine and games were played without any problem at all.

 

However, this morning when I boot up the console, I noticed that it says it could not log on to the network. I rebooted the internet modem, and all the other devices could use the network, but multiple attempts at finding and logging on the network with the Wii U were to no avail. So we decided to play Nintendoland without a network, even though it needs an update since it was the first time we play the game. They played a few games before the game suddenly blacked out on us; the console system has crashed. We tried again and the same thing happened. I thought it was the Gamepad so I hooked the recharge cable on it, but it blacked out once again, more quickly this time. We tried Wii Sports Club, which has the proper update, but for the unteenth time we were facing a blank screen on our TV.

 

Since the Wii U console is new, there should be no reason why it has so many problems so often. And there's no reason why it could not locate a network after being able to just last night. Is there a way to troubleshoot it, or should I call Nintendo and send the system back for repair?

Wii U not Outputting to TV

I just went out and bought my deluxe edition Wii U at midnight.

 

I came home and set it up completely and followed all the instructions to a t. Yet I still can not get the system to output to the television.

 

First I tried the HDMI cable. I tried the cable that came in the box in all four ports in my TV (that were double checked to work with a different system), and then tried it with a different tv. I nexted tried a different HDMI cable to make sure the cable wasn't faulty.

 

Next step I tried with the old av cables from my wii. This didn't work either.

 

(I did try using the game pad and it turns on just find and with pushing the sync button it asks me to enter the symbols in order however I still get no signal on the tv)

 

I can not believe that a brand new system right out of the box would be faulty but i really can not think of anything else to try. Please tell me I am missing something simple.

 

Any help would be appreciated... I just want to play my new Wii U

Gamepad camera stays black / freezes

I just got the Wii u yesterday and was trying to setup my mii with the camera. The problem is when it gets to the picture part the square stays black. Also if I try to back out nothing happens other than the sound of the button being pressed. The only way I'm able to get the gamepad to do anything again is to power it off then on.

 

I'm wondering if there is anything like a setting I'm missing that is causing this or if there is a fix for this? Thank you for any response.

Wii U Repair Help

Hello Everyone,

My Wii U Gamepad's left analog stick does not work a lot of the time. About half the time I have my Wii U on, I cannot go up or down. This applies to all menus and games. So I tried start a repair, and it was 100 bucks if I did not have a warentee. I bought it May of this year, so it is under warranty, but I cannot find my receipt. Is there anything I can do? I dont wanna pay 100 bucks for a repair I should get free

So something went wrong with the Wii half of my Wii U system and I'm not sure what to do...

So after updating the Wii U with that quick start update, I went into the Wii side to play some games but for some reason everything is colored weird. When I'm on the Wii U side of the system everything seems to be working just fine, however when I switch over to the Wii side my tv screen colors everything in purples and greens, my gamepad seems to be just fine when I have it on when playing on the Wii side and so I have no idea how to fix this or if this was caused by the recent update or if this problem was just an unfortunate and unrelated problem that happened right after the update. If anyone could help me in some way that would be great.
